Scope of Work: AI Shortlist Scan

This SOW covers a one-time, fixed-fee diagnostic snapshot: whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude actually recommend the Client, or a named competitor, on real buying-stage prompts. It is a wedge, not a full diagnosis: it identifies whether a gap exists, not why, and includes no fix list.

Governing Agreement: Where the Client has executed a Master Service Agreement ("MSA") with the Consultant, this SOW is issued under and subject to that Agreement, and the MSA's terms (including its limitation of liability, intellectual property, confidentiality, and indemnification provisions) govern this engagement. Where no separate MSA has been executed, this SOW and the Consultant's published Terms of Service together constitute the complete agreement between the parties for this engagement.

1. Service Description

The Consultant will run a fixed set of real, buyer-phrased prompts against the Client's category and named competitors, across four AI engines, multiple times each, and report two distinct measurements for the Client's brand: how often it is mentioned at all (mention rate), and how often it is actually recommended as an option a buyer could choose (shortlist rate). These are reported separately and never merged into a single score.

2. What This Includes

• Confirm the Client's primary category and identify 4-6 real, currently active named competitors in it
• Write 15 real buying-stage prompts a genuine buyer would type, covering unbranded "best of" queries, alternative-seeking queries, and direct comparisons, never a prompt with the Client's own name baked in as a leading cue
• Run each prompt 3 times per engine, in cold sessions (no prior chat history), across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude: 180 total runs
• Record the full raw response and any cited sources for every run
• Build a table showing the Client's mention rate and shortlist rate against each named competitor, per engine
• Identify the top sources each engine is citing when it does name a recommendation, so the Client can see where the answer is actually coming from
• Deliver a short video walkthrough narrating the findings

This engagement does not include a root-cause diagnosis, a prioritized fix list, or any implementation work. Those are the scope of the Baseline Diagnostic and Program Retainer, respectively.

3. Deliverables & Timeline

Timeline: Results delivered within 3 business days of the engagement starting.

Deliverables: The mention-rate/shortlist-rate table, the cited-sources breakdown, and the video walkthrough described above.

Credit Toward Next Stage: If the Client engages the Consultant for a Baseline Diagnostic within 30 days of this Scan's delivery, the full fee paid under this SOW is credited toward the Diagnostic's fee.

4. Limitations and Disclaimers

The Consultant makes no guarantee regarding future AI-model outputs, rankings, or recommendations. No party controls what a given model returns for a given prompt. This Scan is a point-in-time measurement across a fixed, disclosed sample; it is not a continuous trend, and a single Scan should not be treated as a permanent verdict. Ongoing trend tracking is covered separately by the Program Retainer.

5. Compensation and Routing

Project Fee: $497 USD flat fee, payable in full at the time of payment.

Payment Routing: Payment is collected via a PayPal payment link. Scheduling a kickoff call afterward is optional, at the Client's discretion; the Consultant's booking platform is used only for that optional call. No separate invoice is issued for this engagement.
